Infrastructure, equipment and know-how for the technology labs
The ICT district's labs are intended as open places for technology cooperation between business, research and innovation players in the ICT field.
The rollout and full operations of the labs will be achieved through the following activities:
- the purchase of machinery, equipment and technology infrastructure and consumables required for setting up platforms, applications, protocols, modules and prototypes for experimental purposes
- implementation of "cluster projects", through which groups of ICT enterprises can identify solutions to common problems, with the support of the specialised research teams working at the technology labs.
The cluster projects aim at producing prototypes, activities, research results and knowledge to be made available both to project partners and to other Sardinian enterprises concerned.
- implementation of economic outreach initiatives (meetings, conferences, seminars, publications) for disseminating information on the results achieved by the ICT district through the cluster projects
- delivery of advanced scientific and technology training courses to create qualified human capital for the enterprises and research centres taking part in the activities promoted by the labs
- company start-up projects for implementing and bringing into operation platforms, applications, protocols, modules and prototypes developed within the district's technology labs.
