The Documentation centre has been accredited by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development since it is a member of the PATLIB network: the network of patent information centres present throughout Europe.
The centre provides assistance and information on patents and trademarks. For instance, it makes it possible to check prior art, identify innovative technologies or verify the usability of technologies whose patents have expired, or again to perform trademark screenings or obtain legal status information on any given patent or trademark.
