Advanced training
The development of qualified, innovative human resources is one of the main objectives of the Region’s economic policy. Accordingly, Sardegna Ricerche and its partners aim to make available in the Region’s territory, as a strategic asset for attracting the innovation and knowledge industries, innovative human resources, with top-notch education and background in the fields of biomedicine, ICTs, bioinformatics and energy.

To this end, Sardegna Ricerche and its partners, in collaboration with the Universities of Cagliari and Sassari, organise and manage four postgraduate master courses, respectively in Renewable energy, Nano-biotechnology, R&D in medical biotechnology and Bioinformatic technology applied to personalised medicine. These are advanced training courses, reserved for young graduates and opening the door to hiring by high-tech enterprises and research centres operating in the science and technology fields selected as priorities by the Region. The master courses, which have a duration of about 9 months include classroom and lab training sessions held by national and international level university teachers, and experts in the relevant sectors. After completing the classroom and lab phase, students train in enterprises and research centres.

Sardegna Ricerche and its partners have also supported the Region in implementing programmes enabling young Sardinian graduates to gain advanced training and placements with organisations of high international profile outside the Region, the aim being their subsequent return to Sardinia, to the local enterprises, research centres, universities or public agencies.
