The course is organized by Simona Polo, researcher at IFOM Foundation, in cooperation with Porto Conte Ricerche and EMBO, the European Molecular Biology Organization. It is also co-funded by Regione Sardegna.

The chief objective of this course is to present the state-of-the-art methodology for the analysis of ubiquitination and sumoylation to scientists who are unfamiliar with this field.
1. provide methodology and expertise to newcomers to the field, such as students, and postdoctoral trainees, through practical sessions, lectures and informal discussions.
2. Explore mechanisms that regulate the enzymes responsible for Ubiquitin and Ubiquitin-like conjugation and deconjugation.
3. Provide an in-depth overview of cutting-edge research related to Ubiquitin and Ubiquitin-like mediated signal transduction.
