Sardegna Ricerche signs an agreement with the Belarus High-Tech Park

On Wednesday 25 July 2012, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Region of Sardinia, represented by its President Mr. Ugo Cappellacci, Sardegna Ricerche, represented by its Chair Ms. Maria Paola Corona and the Management of the Belarus High-Tech Park, represented by its Director Mr. Valery Tsepkalo. The agreement covers cooperation between the parties in the field of information technologies and other innovative activities.
One of the key cooperation objectives is to promote the joint growth of the tenant companies located at the two signatory technology parks. The Belarus High-Tech Park has about 110 tenant companies, employing a total of 11,000 workers, mainly in the ICT sector. The agreement was signed during a visit of the Belarusian delegation to Sardinia, which was arranged to strengthen cooperation in the field of internationalisation processes and economic-business integration.
At the end of a three-day visit packed with important meetings, on 26 July the Director of the Belarus High-Tech Park, together with some representatives of the Sardinian Executive, visited the main campus of the Science and Technology Park of Sardinia. During this one-day visit, the delegation learnt about the activities of CRS4, some of the tenant companies and the main laboratories and technology platforms operating at the Park.
