The four sites of the Technology Park of Sardinia
The Sardinia Science and Technology Park has four locations. The main site in Pula, Southern Sardinia, spreads over 160 hectares in the midst of a nature park. The Alghero site, in northern Sardinia, is located in a pristine area of 3.5 hectares overlooking the sea. The Macchiareddu site, located in the industrial park of the same name, focuses on energy research activities. The Torregrande site, on the coast of the province of Oristano, hosts research and advanced training in aquaculture and algae production.
Pula centre
The main centre is situated in the municipality of Pula, about 30 km from Cagliari, set in a 160 hectare campus, with built area of more than 25,000 sqm. The Park has state-of-the-art research facilities and equipment, including a secure animal holding facility of 900 sqm and the following technology platforms: ICT, Bioinformatics, Genotyping and massive sequencing, Pharmacology, Prototyping and medical devices, High throughput screening and DTV.
Alghero centre
The Alghero Centre has a 3.5 ha campus in the Tramariglio locality, in the municipality of Alghero. This state-of-the-art campus, owned by the University of Sassari, comprises some 10,000 sqm of indoor areas, with three separate buildings surrounded by greenery.
