Sinnova and the innovation in Sardinia
22.07.2020
Sinnova, Sardinia's innovation Expo, is an initiative by Sardegna Ricerche in partnership with the Regional Government's Programming Department, that has come in 2019 to its seventh edition.
The event showcases the innovations developed in Sardinia. It also acts as a forum for the sharing and exchange of experiences among all innovation players in Sardinia, with a focus on businesses. It features an exhibition area that each year hosts about one hundred enterprises, grouped by sector, and a number of public and private institutions and research centres.
In 2019, Sinnova was held on the 3rd and 4th of October and numbered 90 participating enterprises from different areas (ICTs, tourism, culture, smart grid, biomedicine, agri-industry and many more) with more than 2500 visitors. The expo was also attended by 9 organizations and institutions (Sardegna Ricerche, the Universities of Cagliari and Sassari, the Region of Sardinia with its Departments, CRS4, Porto Conte Ricerche, IMC, JIC - Joint Innovation Center, Digital Innovation Hub Sardegna and the Eurodesk Centre of the Region of Sardinia).
Workshops, meetings and round tables accompanied the event's expo side, and addressed several themes such as biorobotics, the food of the futere, tourism, social media, aerospace e artificial intelligence.
More information on the 2019 edition of Sinnova are available in the official website. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition of Sinnova will not take place, but we are already working to be back in 2021 with even bigger initiatives and events.
