The Renewable Energy Cluster was established in 2007 as an initiative of the Region of Sardinia. Its aim is to equip the Regional territory with a cutting-edge technology facility, at the disposal of the business and research system, to implement research, development and innovation activities in the sectors of energy management and energy efficiency.

Support and Design Unit
The support and design unit is a multi-disciplinary team providing assistance to enterprises and other public and private bodies for the development of initiatives in the sector of renewables, energy efficiency, natural and sustainable materials and productions and sustainability in general.

The Cluster consists of three laboratories organised for shared use by several parties and projects, and of a support and design unit.

The projects of the Renewable Energy cluster belong to the sector of renewables, energy efficiency, natural and sustainable materials and productions, and sustainability in general. The projects have been developed on the basis of the specific competences and equipment held by the cluster and to respond to the needs of businesses and researchers.
