Projects

The projects of the Renewable Energy cluster belong to the sector of renewables, energy efficiency, natural and sustainable materials and productions, and sustainability in general. The projects have been developed on the basis of the specific competences and equipment held by the cluster and to respond to the needs of businesses and researchers.

Sardegna Produce Verde is a network of enterprises, organisations and professionals offering green and sustainable products and services with their operations and base on the Island. It's a forum for discussion, exchange of experiences on the theme of sustainability.

The smart mobility project aims to stimulate and inform transport sector operators about the potential offered by the electric mobility market. The transport sector accounts for about 30% of the energy consumption of the Region of Sardinia and represents a very large and still untapped market.

Sardegna Ricerche has published a call for R&D and innovation projects in the field of sustainable building materials. The initiative, included in the Materials Cluster programme, supports the development of green building enterprises by promoting cooperation between enterprises and public research bodies.

The Renewable Energy Cluster project centres on the know-how and equipment at the disposal of the Renewable Energy Platform. Its aim is to implement development, technology transfer, innovation and pilot activities in the sectors of energy management and energy efficiency.

The Energy helpdesk created by Sardegna Ricerche with the support of the Sardinia Region is a physical and virtual helpdesk which delivers free-of-charge training and information on energy and provides advice, both online and on-site to all Sardinian businesses and public authorities.

The project Smart City – Class A Municipalities is designed to support certain municipal authorities acting as "pioneer communities" in drawing up and implementing their Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAP).

The Concentrating Solar Power project (“Progetto Solare Termodinamico”) is funded by the Regional Government of Sardinia in the framework of the operational programme ERDF 2007-2013. The project aims to develop and test new models of energy generation based on the integration of small-scale concentrating solar power plants (electrical power lower than 5 MW) and other renewable energy technologies.
